Audra and I work together as Career Coaches at Liberty University Career Services. Audra provides comprehensive career development services for the School of Behavioral Sciences. She is a master at teaching employability skills in the classroom and unsurpassed in coaching students. What makes Audra so special is that she started at Liberty University as a student. She knows what it is like to be a student trying to launch a career. Audra’s own career within Career Services has taken her from initially providing exceptional customer service at the front desk, to the Career Coach I role designing/facilitating Career Services’ workshops, to presently the Career Coach II role collaborating with faculty on curriculum integration, providing classroom presentations, and coaching students. Through all of this, Audra’s ability to connect with, guide, and encourage her students is unsurpassed. In follow-up surveys, students commend her for, “Being empathetic, knowledgeable, and providing practical advice.” Because of this, her students feel comfortable sharing their career challenges with her and getting the assistance they need. As a result of Audra’s work to practically coach and build relationships, her workload is exploding as the School of Behavioral Sciences opens up new opportunities and students clamor for appointments. For me, it is a privilege to work with Audra. She models communication, exceeds expectations, and is committed to being the best. However, she does all of this with a spirit of humility and a servant’s heart.

It is an honor working at Liberty University Career Services with Audra for the past 2-1/2 years. She represents career services while proving classroom presentations to support other departments, tabling at events and career fairs, during walk-in hours, and going the extra mile in her career service duties.
